Certain things seem magic. After an afternoon at the beach in Capitola, I found a pearl in my oyster at Sam's near Half Moon Bay yesterday evening.

I was born in Reno, Nevada a long, long time ago, and raised in Quincy, California, a small town high in the Sierra mountains. I've lived my entire life in Northern California. My education consists of a Bachelor's degree in ceramics, and a Master's degree in photography. My photography has been exhibited across the United States, is in some major collections, and has appeared in publications around the world, including a monograph, "Atkins: Girls' Night Out," St. Martin's Press 1998.
